We had a 3.5 hour layover at the Dallas-Ft Worth airport after a very smooth flight and landed in Guatemala City right on time at 8 pm. We are now eating McDonalds at the seminary - tastes the same as in the USA... Everyone is tired, but anxious to get started tomorrow.
We are thanking the Lord for a safe trip.

Missions Team Schedule:
Tuesday, June 30: Meet at the church at 7:00 am. Fly out of OHare at 10:55 am (see travel schedule for details). Arrive at Semilla at around 9:00 pm.
Wednesday, July 1:
AM: Breakfast at 8:00 am at Semilla (seminary where we will be staying). Orientation.
PM: Lunch at Semilla at 12:30. Literature distribution. Minister at Maranatha Baptist Church (testimonies, songs, offertory, possible children's church)
Thursday, July 2:
AM: Breakfast at Semilla @ 8:00 am. Literature distribution.
PM: Lunch at Semilla at 12:00 pm. Women's meeting in Villa Nueva (testimonies, songs, hand spa, gifts...). There will be 5 - 7 churches in attendance with a possibility of over 100 - 200 women in attendance.
Friday, July 3:
AM: Leave at 6:30 am for Panajchel (3 hour drive to Lake Atitlan), shopping, site seeing.
PM: Visit orphanage in Panajachel. Literature distribution. Lunch and supper out.
Saturday, July 4:
AM: Ladies - sleep in. Men - pastor's meeting.
PM: Lunch with the Lott family - celebrate the holiday with missionaries. Women's meeting (testimonies, songs, hand spa, gifts...) at a church in Sumpango (small rustic Indian town).
Sunday, July 5:
AM: Church at Mt Gerizim (Jr & Sr high girls Sunday school, children's Sunday school/church). This is an inner city church that also has a Bible Institute. Attendance will probably be around 150.
PM: Attend small mountain church in San Antonio (testimonies, songs, offertory, possible children's church). Attendance may be around 40.
Monday July 6:
AM: Antiqua - colonial town, site seeing, shopping. Wear comfortable shoes for walking.
PM: Antiqua

All of the team members are in the process of spending time with the Father through a journal/devotional book provided to each team member. Each book contains pre-trip material to prepare our hearts, ministry/personal time with God information while on the trip, and post-trip material and includes:
- Scripture to read and think about
- Questions to answer
- Space to journal
- Close-ups on the World (missions outreach, prayer needs and personal growth)
Our hearts desire is to be used to love and minister as He did!
